Scantech ID, a Champtek company is one of the few world wide manufacturers specialising in optical solutions focused on single-line and omni-directional bar code scanning technology. We started our business in 1987 and have built up a substantial market share since then. Being part of Champtek Inc., the company has over 200 employees and is still growing. The experience of users and system integrators with Scantech ID scanners has been positive and as a result they have confidence in our in-house expertise.

The development of Scantech ID products, both hardware and software takes place entirely in-house. For this purpose we have a large Research & Development department consisting of excellent qualified and trained staff, covering every necessary discipline. Design and ergonomics play an important role in the development process of our products.

Scantech-ID supplies its products through the indirect channel, such as distributors and global suppliers of Point-of-Sale equipment. A tight partnership is the key of the supply chain, so the end-user has one central point of purchase for all the POS devices, from cash register to barcode scanner.

Because of the tight relationship with POS suppliers and end-users, Scantech-ID is able to independently develop products which optimally meet the demands of the market.

Today, Scantech-ID has a complete range of hand held scanners, slot card readers, omni-directional (mini) slot scanners and customer information terminals such as electronic price verifiers.
